As HitFix notes, expect to see Richard Helll, David Byrne, and Tom Verlaine in the movie, though they won’t be playing themselves. Other actors in the post play Joey Ramone, Patti Smith, and Rocket From the Crypt’s Cheetah Crome, among others. Alan Rickman, also known as Severus Snape from Harry Potter and Hans Gruber from Die Hard, has the lead role as club founder Hilly Kristal: His word bubble asks, “Country, bluegrass, and blues?” Swedish actress Malin Akerman, as Blondie’s Debby Harry, muses, “I wish I had invented sex…” - thereby inventing Trey Songz. “Lick my stomach,” proclaims a word bubble over Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, who’s shirtless as Iggy Pop.
